Security tools may flag TubeMate because it downloads executable media segments and hooks network APIs common to adware. A false positive means the heuristic misfired. A true positive means the file was tampered with or bundled by a third party.

Conversion and Format Errors

Current Windows releases handle MP4, WebM, MKV, AVI, and common audio targets internally. Some older builds needed a companion converter for certain MP3 paths.

Common problems

DRM-protected streams cannot be converted because decryption is blocked by design.

Disk full errors abort muxing; free space equal to at least twice the output size.

Missing codecs on very old Windows installs may require the Media Feature Pack.
